Ink Bytes - 4Talent & IdeasFactory Showcase - October ‘06
Posted on 20th July 2008 with 0 Comments
In October 2006, Channel 4 in association with Belfast City Council and Maud Hand (founding editor of IDEASFACTORY Northern Ireland & Multimedia Producer & Trainer) presented INK BYTES, an exhibition of digital and print media from rising Northern Irish Talent including work from participants of the Belfast Masterclass Series.
The 15 Second Film Festival Experience set up a great display in the new and wonderful Black Box Venue in Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter.
The set up was in the Black Box Cafe where we had a huge plush leather sofa and screened our 2006 films on the wall with a decent Projector connected to a Home Cinema DVD Player and Professional Surround Sound System. It was SUPER SWEET.
This is where we met the mega-famous Irish writer Roddy Doyle, who, after seeing our Miniature Cinematic Offerings, agreed to make a 15 Second Film for us. Check out The Future Is Green, the film that his very talented teenage son Jack Doyle and Roddy made for us in the Summer of 2007 in Roddy’s back garden. Photos will be added to this Blog entry soon.
Guide all your senses to the swellegant Black Box Venue where all your wildest dreams and fantasies will become flesh.
